Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2000 Ford E-150. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 MPH, the driver's side air bag exploded hitting her face and chest. The contact stated that she also observed smoke emanating from behind the air bag and when the vehicle stopped, she disconnected and reconnected the battery. The vehicle was restarted, and she continued to drive. Medical attention was not needed. A police report was not taken. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 116,600.
