Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the front driverâs and passengerâs side doors failed to open when needed. The contact stated that several attempts were needed while using the key fob to unlock the door. Additionally, the contact stated that vehicle was not equipped with automatic lock/unlock feature and could only be locked/unlocked using the key fob. The contact stated that while attempting to remove the key fob from the ignition switch, there was approximately 5 to 10 minutes before the key could be removed from the ignition switch. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
