Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Transit. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 63-64 MPH, the solar panel suddenly detached and landed in the street after a semi-truck drove by. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer was unable to find what caused the solar panel to detach. The contact was informed that the solar panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not covered under recall or warranty. The failure mileage was 8,632.
