Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2010 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the transmission shifted to a lower gear and the vehicle came to a complete stop. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
