Complaint Summary

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING

Owner Narrative

The sound system of the vehicle failed. No alerts for cross path detection, no parking alerts, no Bluetooth calling, no gps guidance, no turn signal sound, no ability to call through the sos feature, and no radio. There is no value to the safety features because there is no audible alert for anything. The when you select radio after listening to Bluetooth audio it glitches and turns back to the prior audio source 5-7 times prior to allowing you to stay on the selected source (again no sound so less important of an issue). In addition, the park button doesn’t always work. There are times that I need to press it 3-5 times to put the car in park. The ability to be hands free and use the Bluetooth and navigation functions is non existent. The sarasota Volvo dealer walked me through trying to reset the system over the phone but it didn’t work. We have an appointment scheduled in two days to look at the car. No warning signs or alerts came up.
