Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated while attempting to reverse the vehicle, the center display failed to display a rear-view image. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the back over prevention camera. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V598000 (Back Over Prevention) but the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 15,000.
