Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that fuel was leaking from the gas tank. There was a strong odor of fuel detected. The contact became aware of a puddle of fuel on the ground. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V793000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
