Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that on numerous occasions while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the steering wheel started to shake violently from side to side. As a result, the contact had to depress the brake pedal to diminish the shaking of the steering wheel. No warning light was illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the VIN had been included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V350000 (Steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000.
