Owner Narrative
The contact owned a 2008 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently vibrated and jumped. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the passengerâs side CV axle seal and lower ball joint failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact was informed that the parts to do the repair had failed. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the repair required an unknown kit. The failure mileage was unavailable.
