Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while exiting his garage and making a right turn, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent shop but was unable to diagnose the failure. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with the power steering module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number:Â 18V586000 (Steering), however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
