Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Transit. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V791000 (Electrical System, Visibility). The dealer was notified of the issue and the recall repair was performed; however, the contact was informed that additional repairs needed to be made to the HVAC system. Upon return of the vehicle, the defroster failed to operate as needed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer. The dealer then informed the contact that the issue was related to the climate control module which was not covered under the recall; however, the contact contested that the recall stated that the module was included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 6,500.
