The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel was spinning freely. There were no warning lights illuminated. While having the oil changed, the steering linkage fractured. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was previously repaired in 2019. There was no additional assistance provided. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 09E001000 (Steering). The failure mileage was 168,712.
