THIRD TIME PROBLEM ACCURRED/REPAIRED IN LAST 11 MONTHS. FORD ACKNOWLEDGES PROBLEM WITH BRACKET ASSEMBLY TO WHICH TENSIONER PULLEY IS ATTACHED; ALSO NOTES BELT LENGTH HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A LONGER VERSION. INSPITE OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, FORD WILL NOT COVER ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RECURRING REPAIR, EITHER CURRENT OR PAST. NET COST OF PREVIOUS REPAIRS: APPROX. $600; BOTH FAILED AT UNDER APPROX 6 MONTHS, BOTH WITH APPROX 15K MILES. CURRENT REPAIR COST: $APPROX $850. SAFETY CONCERN: WHEN PULLEY FAILS, BELT IS THROWN RESULTING IN NO POWER STEERING, BRAKES, ETC. THERE IS NO WARNING SIGNS AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IF OCCURS IN HIGH SPEED SITUTATION. *AK
