Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH, the engine failed and inadvertently shutdown. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local mechanic who determined a failure with the camshaft, metal shaving in the oil, a fractured timing chain, and faulty transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed the failure might be related to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V413000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
