Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the warning message "Low Braking Power/Stop in A Safe Place" was displayed. The contact stated upon making a turn, the brake pedal was depressed several times but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact veered to the side of the road, turned off the vehicle and the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the power braking assist had failed and the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the remedy was not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 133,076.
