Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2018 Forest River Economy Hauler. The contact stated that the front and rear passenger’s side spindle had broken off the trailer while driving at various speeds without warning on two separate occasions. On each occasion, the contact had the trailer towed to an independent mechanic where he had both axles replaced. The manufacturer was notified of each failure soon after it occurred. The first time, the manufacturer offered no assistance with the failure; the second time, the manufacturer informed him to send the defective axles for an investigation. The vehicle had been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
