THE PLASTIC HOLDING THE HOOD PROP ROD BROKE WHILE THE HOOD WAS UP CAUSING THE HOOD TO COME CRASHING DOWN. I HAD NOT TOUCHED THE ROD. LUCKILY I WAS NOT LEANING INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE TIME. I WOULD HAVE HAD SERIOUS INJURIES IF IT HAD COME DOWN ON MY HEAD AND NECK. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
