TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, A VEHICLE VEERED INTO HER LANE AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS IT SPUN AROUND INTO A CEMENT ROAD BLOCK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SHE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL AN ABNORMAL GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS RELATING THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V355000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK SORENESS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.
