TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 35-45 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL WINDING NOISE DETECTED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CHECKED UNDER THE VEHICLE FOR PLAY IN THE DRIVE TRAIN. ADDITIONALLY WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE WINDING NOISE INCREASED AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BANGING NOISE AND THE DRIVE SHAFT SEPARATED FROM THE REAR END AND WAS ON THE GROUND. THERE WAS OIL LEAKING AND THE PINION WAS JAMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO KEY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM - TOBEY AUTO GROUP 2020 N DETROIT ST, XENIA, OH 45385 (937) 347-5155 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR END AND DRIVE SHAFT NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,010.
