Owner Narrative
WHILE SITTING IN THE TRUCK WITH THE TRUCK IN PARK, BUT UNLOCKED THE TAILGATE CAME OPEN. THE TAILGATE HADN'T BEEN OPENED FOR AT LEAST 3.5 HOURS. WHEN THE TAILGATE SUDDENLY FELL OPEN IT HIT THE HITCH ON OUR ENCLOSED TRAILER PUTTING A DENT IN THE TAILGATE. WHEN WE GOOGLED RECALLS THERE'S A MENTION OF A RECALL ON 2015 - 2017 RAM TRUCKS DUE TO AN ACTUATOR MALFUNCTIONING AND CAUSING TAILGATES TO COME OPEN. PLEASE ADVISE IF THIS IS COVERED.
