TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 40 MPH AND ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM HAYES INC (2130 US-45 HARRISBURG, IL 62946, (618) 252-8611) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO DRIVER ERROR. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE GEAR KNOB FAILED TO SWITCH INTO REVERSE AND DRIVE. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR THE KNOB SHIFTING FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER'S ENGINEER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE DECELERATION FAILURE WAS DUE TO DRIVER ERROR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700. *TT*JB
