Owner Narrative
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHEN THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS PLACED IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE AND ANOTHER UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A GROUND WIRE FROM THE WIRING HARNESS CAUSED THE IGNITION FUSE TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 201,000.
