TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA YARIS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V340000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (BIG ISLAND TOYOTA AT 808-969-3122) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER, AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL A LOCAL DEALER. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. UPDATED 08/09/17*LJ *CN
