Owner Narrative
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 ISUZU NPR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRAME RAIL WAS RUSTED. THE CONTACT PRESSURE WASHED AND PRIMED THE FRAME. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE BRAKE LINE WENT OVER THE FRAME RAIL ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE AND CAUSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO TRAVEL TO THE FLOOR. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING AND MADE A LOUD SQUEAKY NOISE. THE CONTACT COULD NOT FIND A DEALER IN THE UNITED STATES THAT HAD A REPLACEMENT BRAKE LINE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT SOME PARTS WERE ORDERED FROM JAPAN. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE ORDERS WERE ALL TAKEN, WHICH MEANT THAT THE CONTACT HAD TO WAIT FOR A FUTURE ORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
