TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE REAR AXLE SEIZED AND THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE ELEVATED AND SPUN AROUND WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE REAR END PINION PIN FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000. UPDATED 3/31/15*CN
