TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A LARGE CRACK THAT EXTENDED FROM THE DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG HOUSING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE DEFECT WAS COMMON BASED ON THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
