TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC SIERRA. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A TICKING NOISE AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS MADE AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V459000 (SERVICE BRAKES, AIR) HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED TO DO THE REPAIR WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
