Complaint Summary

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Owner Narrative

WE HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP IN OUR TOWN AND COUNTRY AND IT WAS A CARQUEST AFTERMARKET FUEL PUMP. EVER SINCE WE PUT IT IN ABOUT A YEAR AGO WE HAVE HAD MAJOR ISSUES WITH THE EVAP SYSTEM, NOW THE CAR STARTS REALLY HARD AND. WHEN WE DRIVE IT SEEMS TO WANT TO STALL OUT GOING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS IS NOT SAFE IF THE CAR STALLS GOING 50 MPH WE ARE GOING TO LOOSE OUR STEERING AND CONTROL. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN ON GOING WITH THE EVAP SINCE WE BOUGHT IT USED IN 2010, THE OTHER THING AUTO ACCEPTANCE (WHERE WE PURCHASED IN 2010) DID WAS GIVE US A NEW GAS CAP WHICH DID NOT HELP THE ISSUE AT ALL... THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THIS AFTERMARKET PRODUCT AND IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN WOULD HAVE NEVER SPENT THE MONEY ON IT. I AM CONCERNED WITH OUR SAFETY AS WE HAVE 3 CHILDREN THAT RIDE IN IT AS WELL. *TR
