Owner Narrative
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD F350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST AND THE BRAKES FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE BECAME RESISTANT TO ACCELERATING ATTEMPTS AS THE CONTACT EXITED A DRIVEWAY AND THEN STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE INJECTORS WERE DEFECTIVE AND THE INJECTOR DEVICE MODULE (IDM) HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
