FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Owner Narrative
The contact owned a 2023 Lucid Air. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH and attempting to park the vehicle, the vehicle became uncontrollable and started spinning, crossed the street, crashed into bushes and trees, but failed to stop when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle then crossed the street again and crashed into a wall. The air bag deployed and struck the contact on the head. The contact sustained bruises on the leg. Medical attention was provided. The vehicle then failed to shift into park. The contact stated that the sensors failed to operate as designed. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The manufacturer was contacted by email, and the contact was informed that the brake pedal was not depressed during the failure. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The approximate failure mileage was 38,516.
