Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2024 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while pulling into a parking lot, the transmission was shifted into reverse and then shifted into drive, and the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated without the accelerator pedal being depressed. The vehicle crashed into a concrete post. The contact stated that the front passengerâs side of the vehicle sustained severe damage. The vehicle was taken to a body shop and inspected by the insurance company for a claim. The dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the independent acceleration had occurred several times before the crash. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.
