The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH on the highway, the vehicle ahead was slowing down to come to a stop, and the contact depressed the brake pedal. The Forward Collision Avoidance system activated and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. Due to the failure, the contact was rear-ended by the vehicle behind. No air bags had deployed due to the failure. A Police report was filed. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was driven away from the scene. Prior to the failure, the contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE); and associated the failure with the recall.
