Owner Narrative
In August 202, the multipurpose monocular camera failed. My car is a 2019 Honda Odyssey EXL. I was not involved in any accident or incident that would have caused this to fail. When this camera fails 5 warning codes popup: collision mitigation braking system failure , lane keeping assistance system failure, adaptive cruise control failure, road departure mitigation and auto-high beams stop working. The dealer priced the repair at ~$2,100. Many reports are coming up with this failure and it seems driven by overheating of the camera module, a filed camera component, or other unknown reasons.
