Owner Narrative
While driving the rear tail gate drops. This has happened on several different occasions. Once it dropped while towing a trailer and I damaged the tailgate on the trailer tongue jack. There is no indicator in the cab of the truck to inform you that the tailgate has dropped, unlike the door indicators. I am positive that the tailgate was up and latched, so itâs not an instance where the tailgate is not fully closed. This could lead to other vehicles or motorcycle riders hitting objects that may fall out of the open tailgate, causing damage or injuries.
