Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the ABS warning light illuminated with a continuous audible chime while driving. Additionally, the cruise control was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, but the vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that parts were not available, and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
