The contact owns a 2016 Ford Transit. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse, the back over prevention camera was inoperable. The screen displayed a black screen or a blue screen. Occasionally, the back over prevention camera operated intermittently or displayed a message that the camera was currently unavailable. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention); as a possible cause for the failure; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 170,000.
