Owner Narrative
Subframe has cracked. It is a known issue for my vehicle as the welded subframe isnât strong enough to hold the weight of my vehicle over time. Thus compromising the structural integrity over time, leading to severe safety hazards like unpredictable handling, poor stability, and potential failure of critical components. This can lead to accidents if not resolved. Rivian currently knows this is an issue and charges customers who are out of warranty over $11k to repair.
