Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F53. The contact stated that upon release of the parking brake, an alarm was sounded indicating that the parking brake was not fully released. The contact initially took the vehicle to the independent mechanic where the vehicle was purchased and remained in their possession for nine days. Upon return of the vehicle, the failure was not repaired and the contact was informed that the vehicle should be taken to an authorized dealer for service. The contact also discovered that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V202000 (Suspension, Power Train). The contact called the dealer and scheduled an appointment. The contact was not informed whether the recall repair would fix the parking brake failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 748.
