Owner Narrative
The contact's daughter owns a 2016 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to reverse. The service now warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was informed that the failure was due to the TCM. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
